Committee #1: QUESTIONNAIRE AND PROGRAMS

  1. Decide which 33 questions to use. There are three different questionnaires from which to choose. You may use any one of these questionnaires or make up your own questions.
You can make up your own questionnaires from our website (see create you own questionnaire) and easily print the questions that you selected on a one page form which will include an answer sheet.

  2. Decide which matching program would work best with your school.
    (See programs details here)

Committee #2: ADVERTISING

  1. Hang posters around the school; Make extra posters of your own.

  2. Get extra posters from our website.

  3. Make morning PA announcements (decide if you want Speech or Drama Department to help). See announcements for examples of morning announcements.

  4. Have a contest for the students: Who do they think will be the "Most Compatible Couple" and which male and female student will be "Most Popular".

  5. On Valentine's day, give every girl a paper heart to wear (when she purchases a Computer Fun letter). If a male can get her to talk with him, she must then give him her heart. Or Shamrock, if you run the program for St. Patrick's Day.

  6. ALL CLUB MEMBERS SHOULD PROMOTE PROGRAM; BE POSITIVE.

COMMITTEE #3: COPY QUESTIONNAIRE

  1. Type or write the "Name Of Your School" at the top of the Answer Sheet before you make a  copy.

  2. Duplicate questionnaire and answer sheet for all students.

COMMITTEE #4: HAVE STUDENTS ANSWER QUESTIONNAIRES

  1. Have students answer questionnaires during morning announcements or English class. If this is not possible, have them complete questionnaires for three days during lunch periods.
DO NOT COLLECT ANY MONEY AT THIS TIME.

  2. Separate answer sheets by grade and by sex: put a rubber band around each bundle (no paper clips, please — they come off too easily). This is helpful for data entry workers and will increase accuracy of printouts.

  3. Proofread answer sheets: make sure names are legible and a grade (8, 9, 10, 11, 12) is listed on every slip. Pull any "obscene" names. Let us know if you have 2 or more students with the exact same name. Let us know when we should key unusual or funny names.

  4. It is a good idea to wait a day or two before you mail the answer sheets to us. THERE ARE ALWAYS LATE ANSWER SHEETS.

COMMITTEE #5: MAILING

  1. CUT ANSWER SHEETS FROM QUESTIONNAIRES; then mail us only the answer sheets. This will save you postage and makes keying data easier for data entry workers.

  2. Be sure to mail us the Computer Fun PROCESS FORM.

  3. To ensure that nothing is lost in the mail, SECURE YOUR PACKAGE COMPLETELY, USE PLENTY OF TAPE; it is a good idea to put your answer sheets in a box or a tear-proof envelope.

  4. If more than one package is being sent, please mark on the front of each package the number being sent (i.e.: 1 of 2, 1 of 3, 2 of 3, etc.). You will save money by putting all answer sheets into one box.

  5. It is recommended to mail your packages by priority mail. Priority mail normally takes 2 or 3 days from anywhere in the continental United States. Third Class or Library Rate usually takes several days longer.

THIS IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT WHEN YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC DEADLINE IN WHICH YOU NEED THE RESULTS.
